Caltech Accountability Partners Program (CAPP)
Caltech Accountability Partners Program (CAPP)
The goal of the accountability partners program is to help undergraduate students apply to graduate school. CAPP is for selected Future Ignited participants to receive support, guidance, and mentorship from current graduate students and postdocs, which would provide more long-term support as they prepare their graduate school applications. This initiative is especially designed to provide Future Ignited students with access to someone who has been through the graduate school application process. In 2024, the program will support 50 matches.
This initiative is successful in part by the volunteering from our graduate students and postdocs. The Student Faculty-Programs, Hixon Writing Center and Caltech Center for Inclusion and Diversity provide guidance and support of the program. Funding is provided by EAS Division DEI funds, Caltech Graduate Student Council and Caltech Postdoc Association.
