Joel & Marcella Bonsall SURF Technical Writing Prize

The Joel and Marcella Bonsall SURF Technical Writing Prize was endowed by Dr. Marcella Bonsall in 1997. Caltech SURF students who are seniors, did their research with a mentor on-campus, and completed all SURF requirements on time are eligible for mentor nominations for the prize.

Two judges review each SURF final report for clear and concise writing, a statement of the importance of the work to the ongoing work of the mentor's research group, and accurate and clear discussions of the results.
