Born and raised in Goiania, Brazil, Vinicius enjoys spending time in nature, paying close attention to small animals and colorful bugs. Other hobbies include skiing, reading fantasy books and novels, and playing racket sports. Vinicius has completed three SURFs while at Caltech, two in theoretical high energy physics and one in mathematics. The advice he gives concerning Summer research is "to find something that interests you at least a little bit and learn enough about it to acquire some perspective on the matter. Then, use this opportunity as a lamppost to explore yourself and your interests."
