William is a sophomore studying physics, from Sydney, Australia. He has completed research during the academic year in the Chatziioannou group investigating the gravitational wave signal of the ringdown of black hole mergers and SURF'ed in his freshman year off-campus at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena analyzing simulations of globular clusters. William enjoys playing the piano and cello, and is an avid member of the Caltech Orchestra and Chamber ensembles. In his free time, William also enjoys hiking the local trails around Caltech (including all the way up Mt Wilson!), cooking, and baking.
