Kailen is a Washington, D.C. native. While not on the field for Caltech's baseball team, you'll find him whistling a tune, scavenging for food, or playing the piano in Avery music room! Kailen has completed one SURF at JPL with Anthony Davis and Linda Forster in the clouds and aerosols group. "Don't be afraid to email mentors about SURF even if they have not posted an AO," Kailen advises, "Most professors are open to hosting summer researchers!"
