Graduate Summer Research Institute (GSRI)
Caltech's intertwined research and education mission is grounded in a belief in the profound importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in realizing our goal of "expand[ing] human knowledge and benefit[ing] society through research integrated with education." Caltech's Mission-Based Values
The Graduate Student Research Institute (GSRI) program supports this goal by helping incoming graduate students gain the necessary social and cultural capital to successfully navigate graduate school. GSRI provides programming on building effective networks, accessing campus resources and services, and developing critical interpersonal skills. Applicants will be asked to reflect upon their undergraduate experience and discuss ways that they plan to contribute to making STEM learning and research environments more welcoming.
All incoming domestic (US citizens, permanent residents, or have DACA status) graduate students are invited to apply.
