Tisya is a sophomore majoring in Math. She completed a SURF project in the Physics department last summer under Dr. Maria Spiropulu in "Measurement Device Independent Quantum Key Distributions." She works as a tutor in the RISE program and the Young Legends Program at Caltech Y and also enjoys running and playing ping pong in her free time. "Freshmen should attend the pizza seminars to figure out which area of research they would like to pursue during their SURF and start reaching out to professors early," Tisya recommends. "The pizza seminars provide great opportunities for freshmen to learn about ongoing research and interact with professors directly."
