Tessa is from a small town in Washington State, about an hour north of Spokane. Studying Biology with a minor in Environmental Science and Engineering, Tessa is very excited about biological research and all of the variety within that category. She has done two SURFs, one at Caltech in Sarah Reisman's lab, and one at the University of Iceland in the Bjornsson lab through the University of Iceland-SURF Exchange! She was very excited to do some of the beautiful hiking in Iceland, and her other hobbies include climbing, playing games, and watching Disney movies. She is very excited about the opportunities that are available through the SURF program and SFP office, and looks forward to helping students connect with them.
