Originally from the UK, Sam, a junior studying Biological Engineering, grew up swimming, and playing a variety of other sports. He also played video games in his spare time. Since arriving in the US, he has fallen in love with hiking around the national parks, as well as eating at many of the fantastic restaurants near campus. Sam has completed one SURF during his time here, so far, where he worked under Professor David Anderson looking at the functions of sex specific neurons in mice. Being an international student, he hopes to be able to share his experiences and issues he came across during his application process.
