Kyle chose Mechanical Engineering at Caltech to pursue his interests in fluid mechanics and space propulsion. While at Caltech, he has enjoyed the opportunity to take graduate aerospace courses and attend the GALCIT and MCE symposia. Last summer, he collaborated with Professor Joseph Shepherd and the Caltech Explosion Dynamics Laboratory to implement an experimental technique for simultaneous velocity and temperature measurements of combustion processes. Outside of classes, he enjoys running, tutoring, basketball, and coffee. After Caltech, he will join SpaceX as a Propulsion Engineer on Starship.
