Computation and Neural Systems Irvine, CA From Irvine, Joe has spent a lot of time in Southern California. As such, he enjoys going to the beach, boba, and hiking. He is also an avid fan of soccer and basketball--LAFC and Lakers! Joe has completed three SURFs with the David Anderson lab and has won the Gee Family SURF Poster Competition (2023). Joe advises, "SURF teaches you to be independent. It's a truly invaluable experience in shaping a Caltech student as a researcher."
