Jessie is a So-Cal native and a member of Dabney House at Caltech. She is a Chemistry major studying biochemistry, and has completed two SURFs at Caltech: one with Professor Andre Hoelz and one with Professor Steve Mayo. She loves proteins and is looking to study them from a computational perspective. Outside of lab, Jessie is an active member of her house and loves Studio Ghibli. Her advice for students looking to do a SURF is that "you'll learn a lot more from a good mentor than a flashy, cutting-edge research project."
