Hailing from New Mexico, Indie is an avid equestrian. She and her horse, Emmy, compete in the sport of Eventing. Emmy came to California with Indie and lives in South Pasadena. Indie also enjoys cooking, baking, and reading in her free time. This past summer Indie completed a SURF in the High Energy Astrophysics Group led by Professor Fiona Harrison. "My SURF was an amazing experience due to the collaborative nature of my lab group, the awesome topic I was researching (black holes), and the scientists I had the opportunity to work with, such as Dr. Javier García of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center," shares Indie. Indie looks forward to sharing her excitement about the SURF program with you!
