Catherine studies chemistry and biology at Caltech and has been part of the SFP team since her sophomore year. As an Ambassador, Catherine is happy to answer any questions about the SURF application process. Her previous SURFs have been in Professor Frances Arnold's lab, working on multiple protein engineering and synthetic chemistry projects related to biocatalysts. Catherine likes taking pictures, drawing/painting, playing badminton, and planning enriching events through the Caltech Y, like when they partnered with SFP to host a successful farmer's market to provide a little more food variety free of charge.
