Avi loves vegan food! He also loves hiking, indie rock, and long road trips. When he SURFed this past summer with Professor Pietro Perona, he developed a new love for bird watching and wilderness photography. Avi is an active member of the Caltech Data Science Organization, the Sports Analytics Club, and Tamil Club. As an SFP Student Ambassador, he hopes to be a resource for students who are applying to SURF for the first time. "Be open to trying something new! I ended up conducting research in a field that I had absolutely no prior experience with, and I loved it."
