Ankita's favorite places in Pasadena are probably the grass outside Page House and the Huntington Gardens. When she's not sitting/reading/working at these places, she can be found reading (indoors), embroidering, or working as the ASCIT Director of Operations. Since enrolling at Caltech, Ankita has completed one SURF with Professor Po-Chun Hsu at Duke University (now at the University of Chicago). Having completed a SURF close to home rather than at Caltech, she's a strong advocate for off-campus SURFs and exploring opportunities beyond just Caltech. She says, "'the SURF program enables you to do research pretty much anywhere. Take advantage and explore your interests, potentially not even in your option, to make it a truly meaningful summer experience."
