The NASA-Summer USRP Session consists of a 10 week research experience
at a participating NASA Center under the supervision of a NASA technical mentor.
Selected students must be available to work 10 consecutive weeks (15 week spring
and fall opportunities are available). Students receive a $6,000 stipend for
the research experience plus one round-trip airfare or ground transportation
costs to and from the NASA Host Center. A housing allowance will be provided
for students at specific high cost NASA Centers. At the completion of the research
session, students must submit a paper on their NASA-USRP research experience.
Students may also be asked to discuss their research in public forums and/or
participate in NASA-sponsored colloquia, workshops, and technology demonstrations.
Students interested in the 15 week spring and fall programs should contact
Petra Kneissl-Milanian (see contact information below) directly as these are
not affiliated with the Caltech Student-Faculty Programs office.
To apply for this program go to the USRP website at http://www.epo.usra/edu/usrp/

Caltech's Student-Faculty Programs Office provides administrative
support to the JPL NASA USRP program. Students may live on the Caltech
campus and will join a large community of undergraduate researchers. Once they
have been selected for the JPL NASA USRP program, students will receive information
and instructions from the SFP Office.
